Hénaff family pâté factory in Pouldreuzic, Brittany — making French pork pâté since 1907
About the Maker

A Breton family recipe since 1907.

Jean Hénaff founded his factory in Pouldreuzic, Brittany in 1907 with a simple goal: bring a little prosperity to his corner of France. In 1915, to keep the business running year-round, he invented Pâté Hénaff, using whole Breton pork, local ingredients, and a secret recipe that has never changed. Four generations later, it remains the most popular pâté in France.

The pigs are raised within 150km of the factory, the recipe uses no preservatives or artificial colorants, and every can is made in Pouldreuzic. In 2021, French astronaut Thomas Pesquet even brought Hénaff pâté to the International Space Station.
