Icing for cookies

Equipment

  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Pastry bags
  • Small mixing bowls

Ingredients

  • ½ C of powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • Food coloring

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until having a smooth consistency.
  2. Add 1 drop of food coloring and mix.
  3. Fold down the top of your pastry bag around your hand to make a cuff and spoon the icing into the bag.
  4. Unfold the cuff, push the icing all the way down, and twist the bag where the icing ends.
  5. With scissors, snip off the tip of the pastry bag, making a tiny hole.
  6. Decorate your cookies and have fun!
