The marriage of figs and goat cheese is a marriage of love but I must make a confession, I now know that it is better to use dried figs because fresh figs prove to be a little too bland in this type of recipe.
On the other hand, do not hesitate to feast with figs fresh raw as long as it is the season (until the end of September) and especially do not deprive yourself of this ideal recipe as an appetizer.
Ingredients for your fig and goat cheese cake (Or 12 mini cakes)
- 200 g flour
- 150 g goat cheese
- 120 g of dried figs
- 3 eggs
- 1 packet of dry yeast
- 4 tablespoons of sunflower oil
- 4 tablespoons liquid cream
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon of chives
- 1 pinch of salt and pepper
Preparation of the fig and goat cheese cake
Preheat oven to 180 ° C (thermostat 6).
In a bowl, pour and mix dry ingredients: sifted flour and yeast, chives, salt and pepper.
In a second bowl, pour and mix with a whisk the liquid elements: eggs, oil, liquid cream and honey.
Pour the liquid mixture gradually into the dry mixture and mix well until a homogeneous paste is obtained.
Cut the goat’s cheese and the figs into small pieces (not too much either!) And then incorporate them gently into the dough.
Pour your preparation into your cake mold and bake for 25 min.
Let a little warm before serving!
